Online education is gaining importance and is becoming unavoidable in the days of lockdowns . It will be a new normal for future as well. As is believed widely, with the progressive implementation of this mode, many colleges and university offices may turn into a small cell as controlling point. It will reduce requirement of space. More space will be available for rentals. Or may be sold for other uses. Quite likely that the building industry can face an excess supply and no demand situation. The investments in this industry may not be so attractive for quite some time from now. Proper planning of financials with the above background would be necessary before blocking hard earned money. Another interesting and as setting an example in online education is Kerala. Out of around 44 lakhs students , about two lakhs do not have access to computers or mobile to attend online classes. It is the gram panchayats who have initiated to provide such students with mobile enabling them to join the online classes.
